This photo was taken by the Pittsburgh, Chicago, Cincinnati, and St. Louis Railway Co. on Feb. 21, 1911 at 1:57 pm (seven minutes after the northward looking view). This view is looking Southward at Weirton Station (originally named Braithwaite Station by the Railroad Co.). Notice that the valley ahead (original Cove Valley) is not very developed yet. The hillside starting on the right is today's Marland Heights, and the mills of Phillip's Sheet & Tin Plate Co. are located off to the right along the river and hillside.
